Orders & Payment
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major debit and credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Stripe for quick and secure checkout.
Is it safe to order online?
Yes — our website uses secure SSL encryption and trusted payment gateways, so your personal details and card information are always protected.
Can I change or cancel my order?
If your order hasn’t yet been dispatched, please contact us as soon as possible and we’ll do our best to make changes or cancel it before it’s shipped.
Do you offer gift cards?
Not currently, but we hope to have these available in the future.
Can I save items for later?
Yes — simply create an account to use your wishlist and save your favourite products for next time.
Delivery
How much is delivery?
Standard UK post and packing is £5.95, or free on orders over £50.
How long will delivery take?
Orders are usually dispatched within 2–3 working days and sent via Royal Mail or courier. You’ll receive a confirmation once your parcel is on its way.
Do you deliver internationally?
At present, we deliver within the UK only — but we hope to offer international shipping in the future.
Can I track my order?
Yes — once your order has been dispatched, you’ll receive an email with a tracking link so you can follow your parcel’s journey.
What if I’m not home when my order arrives?
Your courier will either leave your parcel in a safe place or leave a card so you can arrange redelivery or collection.
Returns & Refunds
What is your returns policy?
If you’re not fully satisfied, you can return unused items in their original condition within 28 days for a refund or exchange. Please see our full Returns Policy for details.
How do I return an item?
Simply email us at hello@thestylishhound.com with your order number, and we’ll send instructions for returning your item.
When will I receive my refund?
Refunds are processed within 5–7 working days after we’ve received your returned item.
Can I exchange an item?
Yes — if you’d like a different size or colour, please contact us before returning your item and we’ll hold the replacement for you.

How do I know what size to choose?
You’ll find a size guide on each product page. If you’re unsure, feel free to contact us for advice — we’re happy to help you find the right fit.
Are your products suitable for all breeds?
Yes, we stock a wide range of accessories suitable for most breeds and coat types.
Do you test products on animals?
No — we never test products on animals.
Where are your products made?
Many of our collars and leads are handmade for us here in the Cotswolds, while others come from trusted UK suppliers.
Can I request a specific product?
Yes, if there’s something you’d love to see in our shop, just let us know — we regularly update our range based on customer feedback.
Grooming Services
How do I book a grooming appointment?
You can book by phone, email, our contact form or by popping into the shop to arrange a suitable date and time. We’ll confirm the details and send you an email confirmation.
What grooming services do you offer?
We offer a full range of grooming treatments, including full grooms, bath & brush, de-shedding, hand stripping, and puppy introductions. You can view them all on our Grooming Studio pafe.
How often should my dog be groomed?
Most breeds benefit from grooming every 4–8 weeks, though this can vary depending on coat type, lifestyle, and how much maintenance you do at home. We’re happy to recommend a schedule that suits your dog.
What if my dog is nervous or doesn’t like grooming?
We completely understand. Our team are experienced in working with nervous or rescue dogs and will always take things at your dog’s pace. We use gentle handling, positive reinforcement, and lots of patience to build confidence over time.
Do I need to stay during the groom?
We find that most dogs settle best once their owner has left, so we recommend dropping your dog off and collecting them at the agreed time. You’re always welcome to call if you’d like an update during their appointment.
What products do you use?
We only use professional-quality shampoos and conditioners that are kind to skin and coat, free from harsh chemicals, and cruelty-free. If your dog has allergies or sensitive skin, please let us know so we can select the most suitable products for them.
How do I prepare my dog for their appointment?
Please ensure your dog has been to the toilet before arrival and is reasonably clean and dry. A short walk beforehand can help them relax, and brushing at home between grooms will make their visit easier and more comfortable.
Can I bring my puppy for grooming?
Yes! Once your puppy has completed their vaccinations, you can book a Puppy Intro session. It’s the perfect way to gently introduce them to the sights, sounds, and sensations of the grooming studio.
My bitch is in season — can she still attend her appointment?
No. We kindly ask that bitches in season do not attend their grooming appointments. We often have intact males in the salon and cannot guarantee a relaxed, secure environment for your dog during this time. Dogs in season may also feel out of sorts, which can make the grooming process more stressful for them. Please get in touch and we’ll be happy to rearrange the appointment once her season has finished.
Do you need proof of vaccinations?
For everyone’s safety, we ask that all dogs are up to date with their core vaccinations. If you’re unsure, your vet will be able to advise. You do not need to provide proof of vaccinations
What’s your cancellation policy?
We kindly ask for at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Missed or last-minute (less than 24 hours notice) cancellations may incur a fee.
How long will my dog’s appointment take?
That depends on the service, size, and coat type. Smaller grooms may take around an hour, while full grooms can take up to three. We’ll confirm an approximate time when you drop off your dog.
Account & Wishlist
Do I need an account to shop?
No, you can check out as a guest. Creating an account simply makes future shopping faster and lets you manage orders or save favourites.
How do I create an account?
Click ‘My Account’ in the top menu and follow the quick registration steps — it only takes a minute.
I forgot my password — what should I do?
Select ‘Forgot Password’ on the login page and follow the email link to reset it securely.
How do I use the wishlist?
Log into your account and click the heart icon on any product to add it to your wishlist for later.

Is there parking nearby?
Free 2-hour parking available in the market square. Free long stay car park next to Tesco car park, just a 8-minute walk from our store.
Can I collect my online order from the store?
Not currently, however if you would prefer to collect simply message us and we can hold the item for you ready for your visit.
